Directive Issued to Suspend All Offensive Military Operations for Two Weeks — Except Defensive Actions — in Earthquake-Affected Areas and Related Districts, and to Provide Necessary Assistance

To enable humanitarian aid and assistance efforts, the Ministry of Defence of the National Unity Government has issued Special Directive (2/2025), instructing the People’s Defence Force (PDF) and People's Defence Organization (PDO) to suspend all offensive military operations—except for defensive actions—for a period of two weeks (from March 30 to April 12) in the earthquake-affected areas and related districts. The directive also instructs them to provide necessary assistance and protection to both domestic and international relief and rescue organizations.
