The National Unity Government has announced on the February 13th, 2024, that the unlawful terrorist Military Council is the terrorist organisation which tries to obtain the state power by force, and that they hold no authority to enact or implement laws and that the “Conscription law” announced by them is invalid.
It is learned that they are using the declaration of forced conscription to unlawfully recruit Rohingyas in the Rakhine state.
The unlawful recruitment of the terrorist Military Council, which is facing military defeats in the Rakhine State, is to commit more human rights violations, including forcing the Rohingyas to act as human shields during the war, to threaten the lives and livelihood of the Rohingya people and to protect Military Council’s interests and power, and to create mistrust and religious conflicts amongst the different groups in the Rakhine State.
It has already been clearly announced that the National Unity Government will take effective actions against all individuals and relevant organizations that assist in the implementation of the illegal recruitment of soldiers by the terrorist Military Council and will be designated as public’s enemies.
We call on the relevant forces in each ethnic group to be mindful of terrorist Military Council’s intentional acts of sabotage in Rakhine State and to carefully avoid actions that could potentially disrupt peace and create conflict between ethnic groups, and to learn from the past events caused by the tricks of the terrorist Military Council and not to fall into these tricks again.
Similarly, the Military Council\’s henchmen are campaigning to destroy residential buildings and ethnic religious halls in some areas. We advise you to be vigilant about various Military Council’s subversive actions to maintain their power.
Only when the military dictatorship and the terrorist Military Council are eliminated, people’s lives and homes can finally be peaceful and safe and will be freed from threats to their safety and freedom. We urge all citizens and revolutionary forces to escalate their participation in the revolution and to cooperate with each other.
